iXpenseit - Tracking finances in a tough econony
My general problem, however, is that with FOOD, I find it very hard to save. I end up spending money on lunches, snacks, what have you. Even with the newest love of my life, Trader Joes, and the immense savings shopping there can bring, I still find it hard to truly save as much as I would like in the food category of my budget. Which brings us to the topic of this post, iXpenseIt.
There are two versions of this App, one which is “lite” and FREE and another which is $4.99. Go for the paid version as the lite version only allows for 10 entries. If you eat 10 bagels and enter them, that’s it. You’re done. Also, you cannot transfer over your data from the lite version to the paid version, so just save yourself the trouble and get the paid version from the get go.
The App is very useful, with a clean interface that is intuitive. I found it easy to customize, control, and track my spending throughout the day. In addition, you can email yourself reports or visualize your budget in the form of a pie or bar graph. The best part of this App, as you obviously know, is that it is PORTABLE. Once you buy something you can pull out your iPhone and BOOM. Tracked. DONE.
I love it. Quicken look out.
